Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heelers)

Gidday Everyone,

Just a couple of quick notes for those of you following the progress of our gorgeous little purebred Australian Cattle Dog Puppies on our Puppy Blog who may not be getting the emails I’m sending out to you….

Re Photos:

As yet for this 2007 litter I have not put up any photos, although I have taken them but just ran out of time to put them up. I won’t have a chance to get them up for a few days at least but I WILL let everyone know as soon as I do. They will be another page link like the previous photos on the right hand side of the Puppy Blog.

Re Videos:

Apart from the birthing video which I do hope to get up sometime very soon — but may never happen — all of the other videos I’ve taken are now up. Yahooooooo!

Today I caught up by putting up a 10th March “Moving Outside” video — see the post dated 10th March — and also put up a video for today being their 14th day in this world.

I do hope to keep the videos regular but it will depend on my heavy work schedule over the next two weeks. So please excuse me if I don’t get many up.

It’s been really good speaking with a few of you over the last couple of days. It’s great to know you enjoy what I put up here and that you too are Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler) lovers.

Yes I will endeavour knowing this to keep the videos coming on the puppy blog and coming on the day that I record them. Sometimes though I am bogged down with work so I do hope everyone understands if they don’t get put up when they should. I’ll still try and keep them in the right order though when they do go up.

Speaking of which … we transferred all of our cute little blue heeler puppies out to the outside kennel today and did a 15-20 minute video of the whole shebang. I’ve transferred it to the computer and now I’ll cut it into two videos and put it up in the next day or two on the puppy blog.

I am hoping this will happen tomorrow — Sunday — but I have to put up a new gate to keep King Bodhi, our new Red Heeler in so I may not get it done. The gate must take priority. He’s a little bugger at getting out. An escape artist of sorts. If you’re reading this Tammy - your mum was right!

Best be off to a gig now at the Mathoura Club.

Yahooooo! They’re here - all nine of the cute little buggers!

Well the last little girl arrived earlier this morning at around 12:00/12:05am on the 1st of March 2007 whilst the other 8 arrived on the 28th February 2007.

We ended up with 4 girls and 5 boys.

Check out our Australian Cattle Dog puppies video update below…

All were nicely marked generally with a mask on both sides of the head (except one girl on ones side only) and only two - I think a boy and a girl - had small body patches. Most of them had a patch of some description on their tail.

Anyway… I hope you enjoyed the video. I’ll pop up more information hopefully daily as it comes to hand. Stuff such as weights, photos and more videos etc.

I understand that every culture has it’s ways and heritage but after viewing the video located on this site regarding the cruel way animals are raised and slaughtered for their fur - in partcular racooon dogs, cats and chinese foxes I was moved to make this post.
